So, The Big Girl and I have finally started to crank out exercise analyses again. Pictured, you see me in the midst of an inverted row. You can read all about the inverted row, find other links for it on the web, and even watch a video of me and The Big Girl doing it in today's entry.
This week, we've spent the week doing high rep full body workouts. Next week, we'll start a four day rotation working five days per week, still doing high reps for the time being but also getting ready for more of a hypertrophy phase. Typically, we do a 3 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off sequence for weight training and then just repeat the rotation as needed within the cycle. Going no more than three days in a row on weights enables recovery.
I like the way Mich over at Maspik Teruzim laid out her workout plan in all its detail. Sounds like she has had a good time getting in shape in Israel, and reading about her regimen is informative. I'll write ours up once we figure it out.
On a final note, I've posted the final video podcast from Nancy's training series. Taking heed of Scott's request for longer podcasts, I made this one close to five minutes. We discuss Nancy's views on the female ideal in bodybuilding, and why she competes. For my next series, I may be getting in bed with the devil and follow a fitness and figure (aka shape) competitor as she prepares for a competition in July.
If you're going to follow a bodybuilder, maybe start recording footage w/ a digital camcorder so you can eventually put together a video (pod)cast? "Vodcast" I think they're called.
Nice blog. I'm not lifting anything heavier than a book right now, but I'll still read about weight training!

Julia:
Thanks for the note. We did follow Nancy's last competition with a video podcast here:

We did that with the movie mode of a consumer digital camera. My current conclusion on tech is that that is about as well as you are going to do short of a very significant outlay.
How long do you think a vodcast should be? Ours are short.
