So, the periodization program we are following undulates, as Alwyn Cosgrove puts it. Within a mesocycle or even a given week, we'll do high reps and then low reps. The high reps with less weight seem to tee the body up for the low reps with higher weight. Today was the first day doing legs with higher weight. In three more weeks, we'll go even higher, but today was pretty good. Here's what I did in weight/repsXsets:
- Free Motion Squats (75%): 220–240/10X4
- Standing Cable Leg Curls (65%): 65/7X4
- Smith Lunges (75%): 123/10X4
- Cable Seated Row (75%): 140/10X4
- Back Extensions: 35–0/15X4
- Skull Crushers (75%): 70-55/10X4
- Abs Medley: 45X2
So, squats continue to be a sticky point. We'll go back on the bar on Friday.
